Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster
“The most beautiful car ever made” - Enzo Ferrari on the E-Type
The E-Type has long been the weapon of choice for race car drivers and celebrities alike. Famed actor and enthusiast Steve McQueen bought an E-Type before gifting it to his friend, while rock legend George Harrison from The Beatles was known for his Opalescent Blue Roadster. Even Frank Sinatra was said to have exclaimed “I want that car!” upon first seeing an E-Type at its debut.
Introduced in 1961, the E-Type stunned the automotive world with its it’s fighter-jet like aerodynamics, race-derived engineering, and impressive performance for a road car, featuring a fully independent rear suspension, and disc brakes on all four wheels, which wasn’t the norm at that time. The series 2, introduced in 1968, brought subtle but very important improvements over the earlier models. Notable updates include better cooling, improved breaks with servo assistance, and a smoother driving feeling.
The E-Type influenced rival car makers such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Porsche to rethink their approach to sports cars.

In 2015, this Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster Series II underwent a complete overhaul, the same year it was officially matriculated in Milan, Italy. Previously registered in Austria, the car was completely disassembled, with every component removed to bring the bodywork down to bare metal. After assessing and confirming its structural integrity, the bodywork was repainted before the reassembly process began.
The restoration extended beyond aesthetics, including a full rebuild of the electrical system and engine, ensuring reliability. Inside, the cabin was fully refurbished, restoring the black leather dashboard, the carpets, and the red leather door panels and seats.
In March 2025, the E-Type underwent a conservative detailing, performed by Marcello Mereu, whose expertise in classic car detailing is renowned worldwide. The car was treated to preserve its original character. The exterior, sporting its restored black paint, was carefully polished. Every panel was examined and treated to address surface imperfections.
Inside, the seats were cleaned and restored, with the carpets revitalized to their tone. The dashboard and headliner received specialized treatments to maintain their period-correct appearance. Finally, the car received a wax finish, ensuring its preservation.
